My Ultimate Prayer

Dear B,
You and I have an amazing mutual friend. This mutual friend knows me better than I know myself. He also knows you better than you know yourself. He knew us before we were even a twinkling, starry promise to Abraham. And even more than that, this mutual friend searches the deep things of God and knows God’s thoughts!!! Our mutual friend is the Holy Spirit, and He is everywhere one and the same. That means the revelation He graces you with, and the vision and hope He gives to me should be perfectly aligned if we truly listen to him. I continue to pray that I hear God clearly, purely, and rightly. And I am praying the same for you. Because the more we each individually hear from God, the more aligned our thoughts should be on the important issues currently dividing us, such as our view on friendship, mercy and grace, and forgiveness. It would be bewildering for us to not see eye to eye on these important topics, and this is why I would like to meet on Tuesday, and even more reason to pray first. I want to be empty of all my preconceived notions and prejudices and personal filters created by past wrongs, hurts, and sufferings. I want only to hear the pure, honeyed words of the Holy Spirit in my soul, and I believe that you and I can both reach healing and consensus on the issues that divide us. That is my heart and dream for our meeting. To be of one mind, as we are both driven and trained and loved and propelled by the Holy Spirit who is One, “everywhere one and the same.” He would not speak disparate messages in our individual hearts.

Day Four

My roommate gave me a beautiful card this morning. I so appreciated everything it said and intimated. Thank you, beautiful roommate!

Isaiah says of Christ: "A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out." those who truly love Jesus are the same?"

Oh God, listen to the prayers of your daughter as she seeks your face. May the words of her heart be found pleasing to you. teach her something new today.

Night Three

Lord, I pray that Jules feels your peace today, feels the sunshine on her face and knows what a blessing she is in our family.  I pray that the one she feels strongly for seeks prayer and your wisdom as much as she does.  I pray that your will be done, in both of their lives.  To honor you, follow you, praise you and thank you in all that will follow in the days to come.  Wrap her in your love, give her rest and peace through out the night.  Jesus I pray these things in your name.  Grace and love to you Juliet.

Lovingly,

Exodus 33:14
The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

John 15: 4-7
vs 7 "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."

From my devotion book, "Jesus Calling":
I will not show you what is on the road ahead, but I will thoroughly equip you for the journey. My living Presence is your Companion each step of the way. Stay in continual communication with Me, whispering My Name whenever you need to redirect your thoughts. Thus, you can walk through this day with your focus on Me. My abiding Presence is the best road map available.

Pain and joy are arteries of the same heart & mourning & dancing are but one long movement in the symphony of God.

I saw your email and have been praying since Tuesday, but I just read the part where you wanted us to tell you that we were.I'll keep praying until Tuesday. If there is anything more specific, let me know!

I love JuJuBee! "The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will quiet you with his love; he will exault over you with loud singing.

What can I pray for specific? (I answered: That B will have the eyes to see and ears to hear and that the holy spirit will tell us the same thing. thanks!!! what can i pray for you?) She answered: SO WILD. I WAS GONNA TEXT U A VERSE THIS AM "He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him" don't know where its found. but you both will be in one spirit"

Day Three

Hope you have a great day, and that you're having clarity from the Lord about the conversation.

See you soon!
My roommate told me she is praying for me
I went to Mass this morning and the Priest urged us to get on our knees and cry for help and to sit with Jesus and pray about the areas of our hearts that need Him in that moment.

God I pray that you would be near juliet today as she comes near to you. i pray that you would provide spiritual food for her hungry body. fill her with wisdom.

Night Two

Chapter 2
1.     The aspect of relationship that has taught me the most about how God loves me is the affectionate aspect. It is really rare for me to know that someone is crazy about me and loves me to pieces, in a more lighthearted way. I am used to being respected and admired and appreciated, but not usually adored. My relationships have made me feel adored and the men have shown appropriate affection for me. When I broke up with one man in particular, God would physically hug me, and it was so marvelous and foreign to me. The other element is the desire to help and give and serve a certain other person in a special, primary way. That speaks to the nature of God in community, how he serves and cares for us, and how he created me as a woman to reflect his nature.
2.     Take some time to miss your significant other, and soon you will remember all of the good times and they will eclipse the bad times. Also, fake it until you make it, and come up with all sorts of outrageous things that you do like and focus on those.
3.     Affection is one way that God pours his love out, lavishes his love, upon us.
4.     For me, the motivation is that “we belong to each other.” We chose each other, made a promise, and bound ourselves, body and soul in marriage. It is undoubtedly God’s will for us to be each others’s “One” at that point, so nothing could make me walk away from it.
5.     Am I motivated by what makes me happy or what pleases God, in my relationship experience? I say both because I am not willing to concede God…I stood up for my faith when it was perilous in two good relationships, and I am motivated by happiness because I was thoughtless in my physical expression at times.
6.     I want my marriage to reveal God’s servant heart, and his sacrificial, UNCONDITIONAL, and lavish love. Also his joy, his peace, his serenity, his confidence. I want to be ONE in every sense of the word and have that be the way people perceive us, as one. The two shall become one flesh. Amen.

Day Two

A friend said:
PS I prayed for you this morning!

From another:

Isaiah 60

The Glory of Zion
1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the LORD rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
3 Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
4 “Lift up your eyes and look about you:
   All assemble and come to you;
your sons come from afar,
and your daughters are carried on the hip.
5 Then you will look and be radiant,
   your heart will throb and swell with joy;
the wealth on the seas will be brought to you,
to you the riches of the nations will come.
6 Herds of camels will cover your land,
young camels of Midian and Ephah.
And all from Sheba will come,
   bearing gold and incense
and proclaiming the praise of the LORD.
7 All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you,
   the rams of Nebaioth will serve you;
they will be accepted as offerings on my altar,
and I will adorn my glorious temple.
8 “Who are these that fly along like clouds,
   like doves to their nests?
9 Surely the islands look to me;
in the lead are the ships of Tarshish,[a]
bringing your children from afar,
   with their silver and gold,
to the honor of the LORD your God,
   the Holy One of Israel,
for he has endowed you with splendor.
10 “Foreigners will rebuild your walls,
and their kings will serve you.
Though in anger I struck you,
in favor I will show you compassion.
11 Your gates will always stand open,
they will never be shut, day or night,
so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations—
their kings led in triumphal procession.
12 For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish;
   it will be utterly ruined.
13 “The glory of Lebanon will come to you,
the juniper, the fir and the cypress together,
to adorn my sanctuary;
and I will glorify the place for my feet.
14 The children of your oppressors will come bowing before you;
all who despise you will bow down at your feet
and will call you the City of the LORD,
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 “Although you have been forsaken and hated,
   with no one traveling through,
I will make you the everlasting pride
and the joy of all generations.
16 You will drink the milk of nations
and be nursed at royal breasts.
Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior,
your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 Instead of bronze I will bring you gold,
and silver in place of iron.
Instead of wood I will bring you bronze,
and iron in place of stones.
I will make peace your governor
   and well-being your ruler.

18 No longer will violence be heard in your land,
nor ruin or destruction within your borders,
but you will call your walls Salvation
   and your gates Praise.
19 The sun will no more be your light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the LORD will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory.

20 Your sun will never set again,
   and your moon will wane no more;
the LORD will be your everlasting light,
and your days of sorrow will end.

21 Then all your people will be righteous
and they will possess the land forever.
They are the shoot I have planted,
   the work of my hands,
for the display of my splendor.
22 The least of you will become a thousand,
   the smallest a mighty nation.
I am the LORD;
in its time I will do this swiftly.”

and from another:
"May everything we do begin with your inspiration, continue with your help,
and reach perfection under your guidance. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen."

Dear Jesus

You promise in Isaiah 56: that your salvation is at hand and your righteousness to be revealed... it goes on to say that in Your house you give us a place and a name.
I thank you Father that your saving grace is at hand in Juliet's life. Your righteousness is being revealed to her daily. I thank you Father that as her little girl you give her a place of rest in Your house... and she hears you call her name. Speak softly to her today. and Father I thank You that in Psalms 36 you say that we can be abundantly satisfied in Your house and drink from your rivers of pleasure and in you we see light. Thanks for giving that all to Juliet and B today. Pleasures of Your goodness, light, and drink.

In Jesus name
amen
and from my mom:
Yes, Yes, yes...may the God of all wisdom and especially love, for that is HE, give you courage and speak to your heart.  I will pray specifically for you and your meeting with Brett, everyday, and with more intentionality now that I have seen your request.  Love, Mommy
Hi friend-I have been praying for you and am praying for you right now!
Colossians 2:2-3
"My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

Praying that in this week and even in your conversation with B that you would continue to be encouraged in Christ and know the treasures and blessings of God more and more.  I am praying also for God's wisdom and knowledge to reign in you both this week.

Love and prayers!!

1 Listen to my prayer, O God,
  do not ignore my plea;
2 hear me and answer me.
My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught

16 As for me, I call to God,
  and the LORD saves me.
17 Evening, morning and noon
  I cry out in distress,
  and he hears my voice.
18 He rescues me unharmed
from the battle waged against me,
  even though many oppose me.

22 Cast your cares on the LORD
  and he will sustain you;
he will never let
  the righteous be shaken.

With Much Love,
Fear is always this flee ahead. But when we give thanks for this moment, we stay in this moment with the God Who is Here, I AM.

Night One

Last night I met with a friend and talked and we prayed together. I also prayed with another friend who came over to visit at my house, and also with my roommate. I read a few more chapters and answered the response questions to chapter one of a book I am reading about Christian marriage with my roommate. Here are my answers:

1. I want to get married someday because I was created to share my life, love, mind, body and soul with a husband and children. It is in my nature to complement a man and help him. I can bring greatest glory to god in mothering and loving a man he has entrusted to me and me to him.
2. Partner in bringing greatest glory to God and creating children and families that exhibit His love and glory.
3. Encouraged because I like challenging hard things and I aspire to holiness and continual conversion and transformation into the image and likeness of Christ. My personal experience has been that even in dating relationships I have learned more about love, stretching faith, selflessness, and growth. I know that marriage will be even more intense than boyfriends or roommates .
4. Romantic love needs to be there at the beginning and it must be cultivated but it is not the glue of a relationship. Commitment and sacrificial love is the glue and the foundation and romantic love is the icing on the cake.
5. I do not ask too much of marriage. I don’t know about moderns in general. I don’t plan on abandoning my individual walk of faith, acts of service, and involvement in Godly community with other women. I don’t expect my husband to fill in all my lacking areas, but to be a steadfast support who gives me spiritual and social and financial covering and together we create and raise our children, our family, and with them, our community.
6. They say marriage is like a mirror. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I know that my roommates see an uglier side of me than my acquaintances, and my boyfriends have seen my deeper insecurities and fears than outsiders. I think that in the midst of self revelation, more issues come to the surface and there are more forced-crises that show your true colors.
7. What contribution does a spouse make to our life? Having someone in your life to love you unconditionally,  and whom you commit to unconditionally provides a safety net for growing, trying, learning to be more Christ-like, cover you in prayer, who becomes a priority for you above all others but Christ. Helps you become fully alive and who you are through complementarity and communion, since we are created to be in relationship. Takes care of the biological needs of the husband and wife and satisfy it in each other, bringing joy and intimacy.

A friend sent this to me:
Hi Juliet,

I will keep you in prayer at Mass each day! I've been going to a BEAUTIFUL church in downtown before work this week. I'll text you the picture : )

another said: Hi, Juliet~

I'd be happy to join you in prayer for this. I can commit to praying for you on my own, and also doing ONE of the following each day: either email or text or phone call.

I have time this week, esp on Friday, if you'd like to get together to talk and/or pray.

another:
Ever in my heart...forever in prayer.
Big talks can be scary, if not nerve racking.  I am not  sure who he  is , but if you say "pray",  I say, " I'm on my knees."  I pray the changes are God will and will make the "us " a good thing.  I will fast.  I will pray.   I will text a prayer.  God will wake up the sleeping and open the hearts of the man.  He can do all things according to his will.  I pray you have a blessed evening and sleep restful in his embrace.

In your time and in Gods.  I am here to stay and I'm not going away!  Hee hee hee.  Berean ordered me the new The City Harmonic CD " I have a dream"(It Feels Like Home).

This is what I feel when I listen to the CD....I hear Jesus speak to me and its so awesome.  How he uses the things that I love to reach deep into my soul and cover me with his love.  I am breathless and so in love with our Savior.

In Christ we are home, He is our home, our life, our dreams, our desires, our hope, our love, our forgiveness, our EVERYTHING.  We breath in hope and grace, when we breath in Gods fragrance and only then can we breath peace and love.  Jesus is the sum of who we are, like a fire in our hearts.  We hold on to him so that we can taste the real thing and ache for more of Him.  He is the true bread of life.  He is the water and wine upon our lips.  The light of the world.  Door by which we may enter in.  Our good shepherd, the Resurrection and the Life.  Jesus is the Real Deal and We are sold 100% to Him alone.

I know your share a deep and wonderful relationship with Jesus.  He will take care of you and give to you what will please him and glorify him.  You will stand before God and sing his praise.  In the end....love will not lose.  In God, you will always live and breath to see the face of love.  God is love.

Chin up, eyes upward....thats my girl.

Glory and Peace to you,

Love always,

and a text last night right before bed from my night-owl friend:
"praying for you friend. "Though he slay me, yet I will follow him."

AMEN!!! I felt so covered in prayer as I dedicated my night to my Lord.

Jesus Help Our Hearts: Day One

Today I began seven days of fasting and praying for my difficult conversation coming up. I don't know how much to disclose, how much to push, how much to question and challenge, and how much to surrender. I think there are very good reasons to have an honest, direct conversation and there are very good reasons to remain mysterious and abide by the Love Must Be Tough principles. So I need more wisdom now than I did ever before. Some of my dear friends are willing to fast and pray with me, and I am so grateful! One of my friends just sent me the following. Day One, bring it on!

From a friend:
This devotion is my prayer for you:

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.
May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ.
—1 Thessalonians 5:23

Do we believe that God can fortify and protect our thought processes
far beyond where we can go? “. . . the blood of Jesus Christ His Son
cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). If this verse means cleansing
only on our conscious level, may God have mercy on us. The man who has
been dulled by sin will say that he is not even conscious of it. But
the cleansing from sin we experience will reach to the heights and
depths of our spirit if we will “walk in the light as He is in the
light” (1 John 1:7). The same Spirit that fed the life of Jesus Christ
will feed the life of our spirit. It is only when we are protected by
God with the miraculous sacredness of the Holy Spirit that our spirit,
soul, and body can be preserved in pure uprightness until the coming
of Jesus-no longer condemned in God’s sight.

From another friend:
Oh Juliet,

I am sorry for this huge burden.  I will be praying for you to cast it all on the Lord and that He will be your rock and your shield and your help in your time of need.  I am praying for you and will be praying for you until next Tuesday and beyond.  He is good and faithful and He will lead you in regards to all that concerns your heart.

Jesus Help Our Hearts Blog

Hi friends,

I have a big talk coming up with him next Tuesday night. That is SEVEN days away. I am trying to fast and pray for seven days before this is all over. I see it as my final conversation relating to “us” ever, unless God miraculously changes anything. I am writing just to you, my close and Godly friends, to support me by prayer and encouragement for the next seven days.
If you would, please help me by either:
1.     sending me or texting me a Bible verse or short prayer every day
2.     calling me to pray with me on the phone every day
3.     praying for me on your own every day (but please email me when you do so that I know I am not praying alone)
4.     fasting with me
5.     sending me some other little picture or thing to read/watch/song to listen to to encourage me.

Please let me know if you can do this for me. I really don’t ask for things very often and I really need this more than I even know. At least then I know that the outcome and process will not be my way, but God's.

Love,
Juliet
